Located at the base of the Sierra Foothills, Bass Lake Golf Course provides beautiful views of the Sacramento Valley below. The terrain is wide open and full of natural CX features that produced a challenging course in the mud last year. With an earlier date, this year’s course will be fast and a perfect setting for close racing.
Note: This date was originally scheduled to be at Johnson Springview Park. Due to a scheduling conflict there, the race was moved to Bass Lake Golf Course as of September 25.
Getting There
Bass Lake Golf Course is located off of Green Valley Road, just east of El Dorado Hills.

What can families do?
Unfortunately there's not a ton for families to do at this location.
What is there to eat?
El Fira Wood Fired Foods will be out there with their wood-fired oven. Stay tuned for the mouth-watering menu!
Will there be beer?
Why yes... yes there will! Enjoy fresh, local, craft beer from Track 7 Brewing Company while supporting the Folsom Auburn Trail Rider Action Coalition (FATRAC). Beers are $5, or $4 if you bring your own cup!
What if I don't have a CX bike?
Amaincycling.com has you covered! They are bringing a demo fleet of Specialized Crux Expert (carbon!) cyclocross bikes out to the races this year. It's $40 for a single race, or $75 for the whole day to borrow this $4,700 bike... and you won't even have to clean it when you're done! They have sizes 52, 54, 56, & 58. Call Evan at (530) 815-4311 to reserve your bike in advance.

Course description: The terrain at Bass Lake is rolling and expansive. We'll set up a few high speed straights, mix in fun flowing turns in the grass and make use of elevation change for another Euro grass course and great racing.
Race support: Pete Tipshus, owner of Happy Trails Mechanical Support and long-time supporter of Sacramento Cyclocross, will be out at this race if you have a last-minute bike crisis.
